![]() ![]() And soon enough, they finish everything and return to their father, only to immediately focus on the Aultan flagship instead. ![]() The two brothers quickly hurry around to the soldiers, inspecting everything at a much faster pace than they were going before. “Finish your work before we do anything.” But despite that, he still feels slightly tense as he still has yet to see his daughter on the ship. “She’s here,” Archibald states, feeling relief at seeing the flag – the first time that’s ever happened. One flying the flag of the Aultan kingdom. And what they find is the sight of a Nidhogg flying away from a ship that had somehow appeared at the port. Then, out of nowhere, a loud splash echoes from another portion of the port, making everyone stop their work for a moment to look. Time passes by slowly over the next twenty or so minutes as Archibald tries very hard to focus on his men and the work they’re nearing finished with. Even if his sons still showed tremendous resistance towards them due to their levels.Īlthough he admits that some of that may also be because of Rodrick’s Steel Mind talent giving him a significant boost to his Mental stats, and Charles’ Elemental Immunity talent making him immune to basic elemental magic. It was certainly powerful, but not very useful at a low level like he was.Īfter seeing some of his battle hardened soldiers falling prey to the siren’s song, he immediately began to understand just how helpful the talent was. A talent that grants him full immunity towards any mental affecting power, whether an attack or otherwise. And True Mind finally showed its worth defending me from the mental attacks sent my way by the sirens.Īt first, Archibald wasn’t sure about that talent. Gotten a good amount of EXP over the trip here. And at some point, he brings up his status. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees the commander of the Liathtrian Royal Guard nodding his head with a brief, “Yes, Your Majesty.”Īrchibald tries very hard not to glance at the horizon again as he watches his men go about doing their jobs, supervising things despite having officers to do that for him. Meanwhile Archibald turns his head slightly and speaks to the man directly behind him to the side and says, “Make sure to keep at least ten knights on the ship when we set off. We will then move out to the World Tree after that, with Fredrick deciding on who goes and who stays!”Įveryone on the ship pauses what they’re doing with each of them that have their hands free either saluting or bowing his way while they all shout, “Yes, Your Majesty!” and then going back to their work with even more enthusiasm than before. The king sighs before eventually taking his gaze off of the horizon as he shouts, his voice carrying over to the entire crew of soldiers, “After you finish, go ahead and take a ten minute break. Plus he’s not stupid.Īrchibald continues looking out over the water for several minutes until his eldest finally pats his shoulder and says, “Why don’t you do something to take your mind off of it for now?” He simply doesn’t care enough to do something like that. ![]() I hope she’s being treated well, and that that bastard hasn’t harmed her in any way.Īfter a second to think about it thought, he shakes his head. The king nods his head without another word as he looks back out over the ocean again, hoping to find a sign – any sign – of the ship from Aulta.Īnd it’s not just the sea monsters… she’s never been with the Aultan royal family for so long. “You can’t help but worry,” Charles finishes with a look of understanding on his face. ![]() “Little Cass will be fine! You know how she is!”Īrchibald finally stops tapping his foot with a sigh before shaking his head and muttering, “I know. “Yeah!” Rodrick shouts from several meters away while helping some soldiers move boxes despite their objections of having a prince doing the work meant for them. “Father, calm down,” Charles says, having approached him without his realizing it. And after a while, he begins to tap his finger against his arm, his arms crossed in front of his chest in the process.īut what if they ran into the Leviathan? Or worse… what if they ran into the World Serpent?! His foot repeatedly taps, slowly growing to a speed faster than the regular human eye can keep up with, thereby wearing away at the wood making up the deck in the process. Meanwhile his two sons direct the soldiers into mooring the ship into the port. Archibald can’t help but repeatedly tap his foot as he stands at the center of his flagship’s deck, hundreds of possible ways that his daughter could’ve gotten in trouble or hurt or even killed on the way here constantly passing through his mind. ![]()
